I finished 2nd in Super Stock in 2008 in my '08 Z06. A competitor with a 2004 Porsche GT3 (25+ years experience) won the first 7 of 10 events in '08. I won the final 3, however, having locked 1st place, he did not have a need to purchase new tires to finish out the season. I did my last '08 event with these shocks, but could not dial them in on the testing day because my "testing" tires were crap.
Fast forward to event #1 of 10 in 2009. Both Steve and I show up on brand new Hoosiers. I dialed in these shocks using the settings Jordan and Aaron recommended. I used 5 in the front and 12 in the back.
In those 7 events that Steve won, I don't believe I was EVER closer than 1 second to him on a 1-mile course. Typically closer to 1.5 seconds.
I BEAT HIM BY 0.7 SECONDS and have started off 2009 with the lead.
AWESOME SHOCKS! Adjustment is a piece of cake.
I ordered the C6 Z06 Sway Bar today. I'm hoping this addition makes me unstoppable.
